Speaker:  Katherine Usher Henderson - Introducing us to OLLI a special program from Dominican University, San Rafael.

Katherine Usher Henderson is the Director of OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute), the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Dominican University. She is a retired University President (Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA), Academic Vice President (Dominican University), Dean of Arts and Sciences and Associate Professor (College of New Rochelle, New York). Before entering administration she taught English in junior high school in Medford, Massachusetts and American literature at the College of New Rochelle.

Henderson earned a BA at Connecticut College, an M.A.T. at the Harvard Graduate School of education, and a PhD from Columbia University in New York. She holds an honorary degree from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA.

She is author or coauthor of three books, including Inter/View: Talks with America’s Writing Women (University of Kentucky Press, 1990) and Half Humankind (University of Illinois Press).
