Lisa Oei, Founder of PD-Connect, Physical Therapist and Parkinson’s Wellness Coach.
Dr. Lisa Oei (Pronounced Ooo-Wee, as in Chewy, Louie, Gooey), is a physical therapist who specializes in Parkinson’s fitness and wellness. She has worked exclusively in Parkinson’s for the last 4 years, starting at UCSF in research and then establishing her own concierge private practice called Positively Parkinson’s. In 2015, she recognized a need for community based high-intensity exercise classes and received a Parkinson’s Foundation community grant to fulfill that need. She is the Founder of PD-Connect, a nonprofit organization in the SF Bay Area offering PD-specific classes at no charge for those in the community.
SteF Farina, Co-Founder and Communications Director of PD-Connect and Elite Certified Fitness Trainer.
SteF is an Elite Certified Fitness Trainer who specializes in working with people with Parkinson’s disease. She creates PD-Specific group exercise classes by integrating her knowledge of strength, conditioning, movement, and cognition. SteF encourages group exercise for those who are looking to get moving in a fun, supportive, motivating, and challenging environment. At PD-Connect we have built a comprehensive program that challenges our group physically and cognitively while creating a strong, supportive community. When she is not teaching PD-Connect classes, she is the owner of Farina Fitness, which offers outdoor bootcamp and fitness
